Kroma is an internationally oriented company. For more than 45 years, Kroma has produced machinery for the fish processing industry. It manifests our many years of experience with machinery for the processing industry in the way we design our new machine models but also in the way we try to design comprehensive systems for our clients. Each and every machine ever designed in Kroma incorporates vast amounts of know-how and many hours of experience. It is our goal to continuously develop the most innovative and highly intelligent processing technology in order to stay competitive in tomorrow’s world.

We have machines delivered to our clients at the end of the 1970s that are still up and running. Our machines are often designed for several fish species, yet each individual machine is dedicated to individual species to ensure the best processing result possible.
Kroma A/S constantly works to improve our warranty and after-sales service for our clients. We offer a variety of different service contracts aimed at ensuring that equipment works as optimally and efficiently as possible over time.
With roots in Denmark, we operate globally with solutions for even the most local fish species in both freshwater and saltwater and we are happy to help you with your next machine.

We have customers all around the world
Over the past years, Kroma has expanded internationally. Since then we have developed and delivered over 240 solutions to more than 120 customers in 30 different countries.
History
Kroma A/S is a family-owned company deeply rooted in the Danish engineering industry. The company dates all the way back to 1915, having a long tradition of manufacturing machinery for the industry both in Denmark and abroad. Since then Kroma operates globally and develops innovative solutions for both local freshwater and marine fish species.
1975 marked the beginning of Kroma’s production of machinery for the fish processing industry. The primary product was the popular Ravnstrup trout portion gutting machine.
In the beginning, it was only equipment for the trout industry that was developed and manufactured. It was in the middle of the 1980s that Kroma developed the first mackerel gutting machine. This machine was sold exclusively to smokehouses in Denmark and abroad.
At the beginning of the 21st century, the company changed its name to Kroma A/S. The focus also shifted much more towards product development–with an added strategic approach.
Since then KROMA A / S is known for its ability to develop unique processing solutions. The processing of one species of fish often leads to the development of new concepts for other species. Kroma machines excel not only in their quality, but they are also a partner who thinks and acts on the basis of what is best for the customer.
